Exercise 4.4

You may find respondents giving the irregular forms thram as a past of thrim, glove (pronounced like gloave) as a past of gleeve, blan as a past of blun. This would be based on analogy with existing irregulars, e.g. swim-swam, weave-wove, run-ran, though some would be more likely than others, based on the frequency with which the irregulars are encountered in existing English (both in terms of how many different verbs do this and in terms of how frequent each verb is - for instance weave is not very frequent compared with run).
