allophone
Variant form of the pronunciation of a phoneme, which may depend on the phonetic context in which the phoneme is realised.

Example:
The English phoneme /p/ has an aspirated allophone when realised at the beginning of a stressed syllable (so [ph] in pot), and an unaspirated allophone after /s/ (so [p] in spot).
