pseudogap In filler-gap dependencies, a location where a filler could be attached, but which is in fact not an appropriate point of attachment.
Example:There is a pseudogap after buy in the sentence below, which proves not to be a real gap once the paint is processed: Whati did John buy (__i) the paint with __i?
